Name Rachel LaingAbout Dolly Power is the collective name for the creative output of Rachel and Christian Laing. We are an independent company based in northwest London specialising in design and promotion. Dolly Power's design service is provided by Rachel Laing, an experienced web designer who loves both coding and designing. Rachel began designing for the web in 1999 at the tender age of 19, working as a junior web designer in a large organisation. She quickly moved up the ranks and by 2001 she was the Global Head of Web Development. The organisation's website was an enterprise level, e-commerce site. It involved working with teams from across the globe from Sydney to São Paulo and managing designs in various languages including Mandarin and Arabic. Six years later, Rachel left this role and Dolly Power was established. Since 2007, Rachel has worked on numerous projects with Dolly Power either directly with clients or as a contractor. Work has included projects for the Guardian, the NHS, Kew Gardens and the Wellcome Trust as well as many other smaller organisations. We cover many types of work, but are focused primarily on front-end web design. We are passionate about creating useable and beautiful designs and are firm believers in quality and simplicity.
